Mr. Thomas Alvin Terry,

April 7, 1938 - January 18, 2022

Thomas Alvin Terry, son of Albert Smith and Winnie Dowell Terry, was born on April 7, 1938, in Halifax, Virginia. He parted this life peacefully on January 18, 2022, in Baltimore, Maryland. Thomas received his formal education in the Baltimore City public school system and Graduated from Carver Vocational Tech in 1957. In his younger days he loved roller skating, also, he was a smooth dancer. In high school he took up carpentry and throughout life would use his skills to help family and friends with various home improvement projects. Thomas worked for W R GRACE & Company for over Thirty years where he retired. Over the years Thomas created various pieces of furniture. He also Built many additional rooms to the homes where he lived. As well as carpentry, Thomas enjoyed tailoring, gardening and cooking. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Una Terry. To this union two sons were born. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Winnie Terry, The late Una Terry, brothers, John Winston Terry, Howard Terry, Smith Douglas Terry and Albert Terry. He leaves to mourn his legacy his children, Kenneth Terry (Vicki), Anthony Terry (Kimberly) and Derek Vaughn who he had a special relationship; five Grandchildren, David, Olivia, Jon Michael, Hadassah and Niles Terry; One Great Granddaughter Kaydence Terry.; Two Sisters, Edith Tucker, and Ruth Pajouhandeh. Thomas also leaves behind his devoted best friend Patty Branch and also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
