Mr. Ted R. Mack
April 13, 1950 - September 29, 2021
Ted Roosevelt Mack, known to some as “Moses,” “Teddy,” or simply “Ted,” was born on April 13, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Johnnie Gray Mack (Nee Thompson) and Theodore Roosevelt Maultsby. He departed this life peacefully on September 29, 2021 after being diagnosed with cancer. He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools, attending some college throughout his life. He held numerous jobs throughout his life before retiring. He worked in construction, environmental services in one of the local hospitals, at Black & Decker and as a school bus driver. Prior to becoming injured on one of his jobs decades ago, he liked to run. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing and teaching chess, and being a Boy Scout Leader. He was a people person and could easily make friends. He enjoyed just hanging out with others, eating and having a good time. Growing up, trouble did not find him but he found it. He was a weaver of tales. He could captivate your attention with a tale about something that he witnessed or happened to someone he knew and have you engrossed in the story, and not an ounce of it would be true, sometimes. Ted leaves to cherish his memory family and close friends and relatives. He is survived by his sister Frances Lewis (Nee Maultsby) and a host of nieces and nephews. He is survived by three children, Lisa from a previous union and son Marcus and daughter Tiffany from his marriage to Sharon Mack. He has four grandchildren from his son Marcus; LaJoia, D’Jah, Bakari and Ryan. He also leaves to grieve his passing, long-term partner of over seventeen years, Denise Williams.
