Shirley Ann Sorrell,

December 10, 1943 - June 14, 2020

Shirley Sorrell was born on December 10, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Lucy Ann Sorrell and Jack Speight. Suddenly on Sunday June 14, 2020, Shirley Ann Sorrell went home to be with the Lord. Shirley’s daughter Portia English and brother James Sorrell preceded her in death. “Shir” whom her kids called her attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She had numerous jobs to support her family. Shirley love to cook and would help anyone she could. She also loved game night with her family and friends. She made numerous friends and was loved by all. Shirley always loved to go out and play cards. Her life was her children and her grandkids. She was a lover of dancing and would go to "The Place" or "Tequila Sunset " every week for dancing which was her exercise until she couldn't attend anymore. Shirley leaves to cherish in her memories: four son's Bruce Cooper, Wayne Jones(Mrs. Ronnie Jones), Sterling Jones and Terry Williams. Shinnell English her granddaughter whom she raised from birth, two sisters Josie Bell Speight and Marcenia Sorrell, ten grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, nieces, great- nieces, nephews, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
