Ms. Rose Mary Fields

February 15, 1949 - January 31, 2021

Rose Mary Fields was the first grandchild of the late Herman and Beatrice Anderson and the oldest of ten children of the late Doretha and John Sheppard Hazleton. She was born on February 15, 1949 in Bartow, Florida and was granted her angel wings on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Rose received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. She was a member of First Charity Baptist Church in Baltimore. Rose's deep love and faith in God was true in her actions and care for others. Many jobs were held by Rose, but her true passion was nursing and supporting those in need. She retired from the Franciscan Sisters of Baltimore as a nursing coordinator, where she worked for many years. Her love for spending time with the family and friends was like no other joy. She also enjoyed playing cards and taking trips up and down the road to the casino. Two things you would never catch Rose without was her nails and hair nicely done. She was truly a cutie on duty. Rose was married to the late Raymond Fields, Sr. Her true love will always be her children Paulette Pauling who preceded her death in 2019, son in law Frank Pauling who preceded her death in 2020 and her beloved son Raymond Fields, Jr. who was the apple of her eye. The love for her siblings were unconditional which includes Bettie Ann Clyburn, Kinnie Mae Hazelton, her brother's John Hazelton, Herman Hazelton, David Hazelton, Jackie Hazelton and Jerome Hazelton, all whom preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her beloved brother Gillispie Hazelton and beloved sister Jacqueline Hazelton, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. -- "A teacher is one who makes himself progressively unnecessary."
