Mr. Richard Eugene Nicholson, Jr.

April 15, 1965 - June 18, 2021

Richard Eugene Nicholson, Jr., beloved son of the late Richard Eugene Nicholson Sr. and Nancy Virginia Raikes was born April 15, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life on June 18, 2021. Rick aka Lil Ricky aka Uncle Ricky received his education at Northwestern Senior High School. His first job was at the Pimlico Race Track with his late sisters’ Saundra Wilkes, Sharran Raikes Bernett and Savannah Raikes. He then moved on to selling produce with the well-known Arabs until he found his calming place in housekeeping. He worked housekeeping until his health began to fail in early 2000s. Rick loved to walk from his old neighborhood of Ridgewood Ave to his new neighborhood Belvedere and Park Heights. You would know him by his fast pace bop with his bow-legs. Rick was known as a very giving person but definitely had a no nonsense mentality. He would be ready to throw hands at any minute. He was the true definition of an OG. He loved the ladies. You could always find him putting his mack on and dancing his same ole two-step and wobble.  Rick also had the most beautiful handwriting. During his quiet time, you could find him writing poetry. He was an avid chess player, very good at shooting pool and mastered the art of playing horseshoe taught to him by the late Robert Robinson. Though you could always find him walking solo, he loved his family. Rick had many close friends like family that crossed his path but his late brothers-in-law were his ace boone koons.  Rick was preceded in death by his son, Richard III; two brothers, James Thomas, Jr. and Tataran Raikes; four sisters, Saundra Wilkes, Sharran Raikes Bernnet, Savannah Raikes and Tora Thomas.   Rick leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Rikkia Nicholson; two grandsons, Jerrel and Zion; two sisters, Victoria Thomas, Trelli Nicholson; 12 nieces, 6 nephews, 19 great nieces, 18 great nephews, 19 great great nieces and 23 great great nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
