Norman Andre Smith, affectionately known as Peanut was born on March 13, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland to Rita Herring and the late Norman Smith. His sudden death occurred on September 25, 2021. He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. He developed a passion for animals early in life. He particularly enjoyed watching television programs about dogs. He cultivated an expertise for taking care of animals and would be considered an unlicensed veterinarian by family and friends. His dream was to establish and operate his own kennel. Aside from being an animal lover, he also enjoyed spending time with family and friends who understood his quiet nature. He was known for being stylish as his baseball caps and athletic shoes always coordinated. He had a determined spirit, overcame many obstacles and became a responsible father. He shared a special bond with his sister Raeshonda and often sought her advice and support. His older cousin, Raeshio Rice, was like a big brother and they were very close. He is survived by his mother Rita Herring and step-father Roger Herring, two children, Kareem Andre Smith and Lanayi Katia Smith, sisters Katina Smith, Raeshonda Smith-Demory, Katrina Smith and Davona Smith, one brother-in-law, Lamont Demory, one niece, LaShawnda Demory, two nephews, Detron Nelson and Courtney Demory, one great niece McKenzie McFatten, uncles: Raif Hunter, Clinton Hunter, Charles Queen and Ronald Price, aunts; Theresa Newman, Carolyn Booker and Antionella Elliott, special friends Lakota Bushrod and Sharnicka Lee along with a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Smith, grandmothers Estelle Smith and Patricia Elliott, and one uncle Theron Hunter. Sent from my iPad
