Larry Wayne Evans Sr, son of Nona Mae Evans and the late James Evans was born on October 15, 1957 in Emporia, Virginia. He departed this life on May 22, 2020. He received his education in Baltimore City Public School System. In Larry’s first relationship he was blessed with two children; Latria and Larry Jr. In his next relationship, he was blessed with six children; Aanye, Niko, Charisma, Endea, Delshay and Jonathan. Larry was saved and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Larry loved to cook. He went on to pursue his career at the Culinary Arts School. He was the one who prepared the majority of the family meals at night. You can often hear him telling his children that he taught their mom how to cook. Cooking was just one of his many creative outlets. Larry was also a dedicated Landscaper. You will find him in many neighborhoods and communities beautifying their yards. His work was very detail-oriented and would always speak for his skill. You can always hear him saying, “I have a green thumb, everything I touch, GROW! Larry was friendly and respectful with people wherever he went. He was the jack of all trades. He touched so many people, his neighbors and his family. He enjoyed reading fiction novels and especially reading his Bible. He loved listening to good music, family gatherings, and definitely dancing. His favorite band was Steely Dan. His two favorite sayings were, “Out Think The Thinker!” and “Name Of The Game, Never Hip The Lame.” Larry Evans was preceded in death by his father James Evans. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Nona Mae Evans; his sisters, Gwendolyn Evans (decease), Deborah Evans (decease),Rementa DeShields (Harold), Meshawn Evans; his brothers, James R. Evans Sr., Terry Evans; his uncle James Miles; his children, Latria Bond (Timothy), Larry Evans Jr, Aanye Eaton (Junious), Niko Evans (Nikia), Charisma Evans, Endea Evans, Delshay Evans, and Jonathan Kent. Larry have 13 grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends; two very special friends, Wanda Griffin and Tony Nichols.
