Mr. Ira Nottingham

November 25, 1960 - November 9, 2020

Ira Ellis Nottingham, Sr., son of the late Benjamin and Victoria Nottingham was born, Nov. 25,1960, in Eastville, Virginia. He moved to Baltimore at and early age and attended Baltimore city public schools. After getting his GED he went on to work various jobs. In 1983, he became the proud father of his son Ira,Jr. in 2001, he met the love of his life LaTosha Hill , and they were married in September, 2003. Then he became the stepfather of her four children, Lamont, Jaleisa, Quyesha and Raquann. He was proud of his new family and he won their hearts and their love and respect. Ira, better known as Smokey, was a very friendly and jolly person and made friends wherever he went and always made people laugh. He and his wife, Tosha were best of friends and you would always see them together,with him carrying her pocketbook. When Tosha was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, he stuck by her and did what he could to help her in her recovery. He always put his family first. Smokey leaves to cherish fond memories his loving wife, LaTosha, son, Ira, Jr, sister, Tia Nottingham, his other beloved children through marriage, Lamont, Jaleisa, Quyesha and his baby boy, Raquann, grandchildren,Khalil, Kareem and Karon Nottingham, Sanai Jones, Ty’yawna, Ty’sjinay and London Hill and Santana Hill Brown, mother -in-law, Sandy, a host of extended family and friends. We will miss you dearly.
