Gregory C. James, AKA DJ Sherlock was born on December 24, 1954 in Baltimore Maryland, the son of the late Mildred E. Williams and Jimmy C. Mann. He is also predeceased by brothers James Mann and Kevin M. Williams. He received his education from the Baltimore city school system and graduated from Douglass high school and attended the Baltimore school of Arts. Gregory was a hard working man. He worked at Aberdeen proving ground for 20 years. He also worked for University Hospital and total health care until his retirement. He was a talented and well-known musician and artist. Where ever he went, he would be sure to hear “sing my song Greg you know the one” which he often heard from the late great Elder JB Dobbs who loved to hear him sing “I made a vow to the Lord.” He sang with the Baltimore boys, New Jersey Mass Choir, The Sheppard voices and the Counsellors of Peace and many other groups. He spent many hours with his brothers and friends teaching them the art and craft of pitch perfect singing. In 2018, Gregory rejoined New Bethel abundant Life Ministries where he rededicated his life to Christ, under the leadership of Apostle James Thomas, Jr. he was loved and respected by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his brothers James R. Williams, Jr., George A. Williams, Keith M. Williams, Samuel Davis, Jr., Michael J. Davis, two loving sisters, Roxanne Thomas and Pennie L. Kennon and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
