Mrs. Emma Virginia Thomas,
March 16, 1948 - February 18, 2022
Emma V. Thomas was born to the late James Sr. and Olif Gross on March 16, 1948. After a brief illness she gained her eternal wings on February 18th, 2022. Emma received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar Senior High School. Emma gave birth to three children; Antoinette, TyRone (Tiff) and Alvin (Timmy) all of whom preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age joining the Highway Christian Church and remained a faithful member until her death. Her love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of her life. Emma was a very caring person, anything that she could do for you was done without hesitation. Emma was a loving caregiver for both of her parents and cared for them until their death. She was also a foster parent who cared for many children over the years. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Emma is survived by two sisters; Joan Williams and Sharon Muse; one brother, James Gross, Jr, two adoptive children; Dominic and Tyree, seven grandchildren; Eric, Emani, Trevon, Dominic Jr, Iyonna, Mijah and Madisen, three great grand children; Payton, Nigiel and Nigera. She is also survived by four Godsons; Terry Busby, Bryon Stokes, Mark Randolph and Anthony Harris, three Goddaughters; Keia Stafford, Aaliyah Granger and Carol Young, a special niece Kishma Fisher and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
