Ms. Edith Carol Hunter

December 28, 1939 - May 22, 2022

Edith Carol Hunter, the daughter of the late Hezekiah and Viola Carr, was born December 28, 1939. Her struggles and brief period of illnesses ended on May 22, 2022.   Early in life she gave her life to Christ while attending MT. Nebo baptize church in Accomack County Va. After moving to Baltimore city. She joined power of faith church Under the leadership of pastor Michael Smith. She participated in fund raising, ushering, and being a loyal member of the church.  She was educated in Accomack County Va. She graduated from savage Ville Elementary school, Graduated from Mary N smith high school in 1959. She attended Maryland state collage than transferred to Catonsville community college and received her associates degree. Later attended Morgan state college and received a BS degree in 1985. She worked for the state of Maryland in the mental health and hygiene field at Rosewood state hospital, during her tenure she received many awards for her performance. She retired after working there for over thirty years.  She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. She was united in holy matrimony to Sandy B. Hunter on May thirteenth, 1967, who expired in 2010. She was a loving mother of two daughters, Phyllis Hancock, Cassandra Hunter, and one son Jeffery Green, one – daughter in law Rosiland, one son in law Gary, seven grand kids, Latoshia McDermont, Jasmine Green, Mahlon Thomas, Zachary Green, Christopher Everette, Courtney Everette, and one grand kid that resided with her Clifton Lance Myers Jr. who assisted in her care and daily living, she also had several great grands. Many nieces and nephews one that was like a brother to her Clifton E. Carr Jr., and A multitude of cousins, And close friends.
