May 2, 1933 - September 18, 2020
Home Going Celebration for the life of Dudley Antonio Stephenson Sr., now I am gone, please don’t cry let me go, be happy that we have had our memorable years. Mr. Stephenson we knew was warm, giving, friendly, nurturing, caring, jovial, willing, and humble. He radiated love, life, light, and joy. He was a treasured gift to his family and friends. God blessed the late Emily and Reginald Stephenson with twin boys on May 2, 1933, Dudley and Eric Stephenson (who has passed on before). Mr. Stephenson grew up in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica. He attended St. Catherine Primary and Dinthill High school. He worked for Arigunaba as a limousine Driver. He migrated to Baltimore, Maryland to be with his loving wife Nora Stephenson who precede him in death on August 22, 2020. To know Mr. Stephenson was to love him, he was everyone’s father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, he loves the Lord and was excited to be in church to worship with his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Mr. Stephenson worked for STX for 28 years, he retired on July 31, 1998, he was very dedicated to his job, and was recognized for his outstanding work. He likes to visit family members and friends especially after church on Sundays, no matter what, we knew he was coming, and we always had a good time. Mr. Stephenson loved to talk, listen and play with the children, they liked to be around him and go to McDonalds. He was always someone we can call on when we need a helping hand, for example to or from a doctor or hospital visit, to pick the kids up from school or daycare, a ride to the store, just to name a few. He never says no, and guess what, he would be there on time. But it was Jesus that said, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Mr. Stephenson transition from this life on Friday, September 18, 2020 to be with the Lord. Left to lovingly cherish his memories are 12 children: Beverly, Sovia, Sandra, Loraine, Charmaine, Andrew, Junior, Elizabeth, Balfour, Nathan, Devon, and Cordia. 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, 1 brother, nieces, nephews, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, along with other relatives, friends, well-wishers, and a loving friend Mitchelle who took great care of him, she held his hands and watched him take his last breath to be with the lord. Mr. Stephenson you gave us your LOVE, we thank you for all you did, but now it’s time for you to travel alone, Rest In Peace. You are absent from us, but present with the Lord. We salute Dudley Antonio Stephenson Sr. for a life well lived.
