Mrs. Charisse Greta Powers

February 26, 1962 - May 31, 2022

On February 26, 1962, God saw fit to lend Charisse Greta Powers “Reese” William and Irene Johnson in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lord decided that her mission on this earth was complete and called her back to the heavenly gates on May 31, 2022. Reese, which she was affectionately known by, received her education in Baltimore County Public Schools. She excelled in many things and faced many battles in life, but she was heaven-sent to many. She was very energetic and always on the go. She loved having fun and was always the life of the party. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children and grandchildren. When the weather was nice, she loved getting together to eat crabs and joke. When the weather was cold Sunday dinners and football was her thing! One of her favorite dishes to prepare was liver and onion and which there were never any leftovers. She would give everything she had to others, sometimes even when she didn’t have opening her home to people in their time of need. She touched so many lives and this loss hurts us all. She gave her life to Christ at an early age attending church and chase because her mother wanted to instill certain values in her life and God was one of them. In the 2000’s she met the love of her life Dana, and it was more than joy for her. He was her backbone and he stood by her side no matter what. They brought peace, joy, laughter, and love to one another. Charisse is proceeded in death by her father William, sister Jenell, and grandson Andre. Charisse leaves to cherish her loving memory: Mother Irene, husband Dana, 9 children: Ashanti, Maurice, Kai, Brittany (Craig), Tinnay, Olajuwon “Lil Charles,” Tavon, Terrell, and Zyaira; 5 siblings, Felicia, Lamonte (Anita), Darliss (Frank), William, and Sarah; 15 grandchildren 1 on the way along with 1 great-grand, 2 great-aunts, 5 aunts, 3 uncles, 6 nieces, 8 nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
